OBJECTIVE

This book presents the teaching strategies and project stories of Lora Taylor and other teachers who are successfully using the project approach with 3-, 4-, and 5-year-olds and with first graders who are beginning to read and write.



They are based on the strong conviction that learning by doing is of great importance and that to discuss in group and to revisit ideas and experiences is the premier way of gaining better understanding and learning.



To acquire new interests, and to investigate a topic in depth can be highly beneficial for the academic achievement of children in these environments. It can also assist social and emotional development.
